Bangkok is Locked Down

Jeff's neighbor in Bellingham became a good friend during college and he happens to live in Bangkok, where he teaches English.   We hadn't seen him in about three years and were excited to spend some time with him in his new home town.  We transferred ourselves from the airport to our more centrally located hostel near most of the sights in Bangkok.  Our hostel turned out to be small but wonderful, and after minimal effort we had our cell phone from KL Bob up and running and worked out where to meet up with Locke.

We meandered from our hostel to Khaosan, which is the backpacker ghetto of Bangkok.  Worth seeing only once, Kaosan was a great place to meet up with Locke.  He introduced us to sweet sticky rice and mango, and we caught up over dinner at
a crappy tourist restaurant and a few beers at an Irish bar.  It was really good to see the Locke-ness monster and hear about all of his adventures since coming to Bangkok in 2008!
